In the process of installing or using magnetic locks, we often encounter many problems. Let’s briefly describe the questions and answers.
What is Magnetic Lock ?
Magnetic lock is one of the most commonly used locks in the access control system. It refers to the electric lock device that relies on the direct adsorption force of electromagnetic force to attract the electromagnetic lock body and the supporting soft iron together. Simple construction with no sliding or rotating wear parts.
1Q: Why does the magnetic lock make a loud noise when closing the door?
Answer:
a. Go to check if the rubber gasket is installed.
b. Go to check the iron plate end, if the screw is too loose.
c. Go to check the distance between the magnetic lock body and plate suitable or not .
2Q: Why can’t the iron plate be absorbed firmly after using the magnetic lock for a period of time?
Answer:
a. Go to check if the “power and voltage” 1A/12V/24V output of the power supply is less and reduced.
b. Check whether there are foreign objects (such as dust, rust deposits, foreign objects, etc.) on the surface of the magnet.
3Q: Why does the magnetic lock iron plate often need to be adjusted?
Answer:
a. Check whether the iron plate is fitted with pins.
b. Need to check if the iron plate is equipped to the rubber pad.
c. It is recommended that customers apply “screw fixing agent” to the screws.
4Q: What kind of iron plate is sucked, it feels a slight vibration, and the suction is not enough?
Answer:
a. Check whether the main surface of the magnetic lock and the iron plate are completely attracted and there is no foreign matter, or loosen the iron plate and try.
b. Go to check if the voltage and current are in good condition.
5Q: Why does the magnetic lock have an adjustable delay, but it doesn’t work?
Answer:
a. The “delay adjustment” of the magnetic lock starts timing after the power is turned on, not after closing the door.
b. Usually the magnetic lock with 0, 3, 6 ,9 seconds time delay ,need to check if the time is set to 9 seconds.
6Q: Why is the magnetic lock powered on, but the red LED light is slightly bright and cannot be absorbed?
Answer: Check whether the voltage is enough to supply the electromagnetic lock requirements (1A current/12V voltage should be supplied)
7Q: Why is the magnetic lock powered on, but the red LED light is always on, but the green light is not on?
Answer: It may be that the induction element of the magnetic lock is damaged and needs to be replaced.
8Q: Why can’t I use the double-door magnetic lock for a while?
Answer: The double door magnetic locks need a lot of power. Need to check if the power supply is in good condition (whether it is in good condition or sufficient for the required current and voltage or whether there is wires got problem).
9Q: How to distinguish high-end and low-end magnetic locks, good or bad?
